Terms of Service
Effective Date: June 9, 2026
Please Read Carefully: These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CAX. By creating an account, accessing the Campus Feed, participating in events, or using any CAX services, you agree to comply with these terms, including our strict Code of Conduct and Limitation of Liability.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, registering, or using CAX (referred to as "CAX", "the Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by CaxOne and developed by Rahul Thatipamula, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you are not authorized to use the platform.
2. Eligibility and Student Verification Audit
CAX is a private, verified digital platform intended exclusively for active students.
- Enrollment: You must be currently enrolled as a student at a supported higher education institution to access the platform.
- Institutional Email: You must register using the email address assigned to you by your university (e.g., a `.edu` or university domain address).
- Auditing & Credentials: We reserve the right to audit accounts to maintain community safety. If you submit a student ID card scan or document during verification, you warrant that it is authentic, unaltered, and represents your true identity.
- Forgery & Fraud: Submitting fake, altered, or stolen student credentials is a serious breach of these Terms. If a user is found using false credentials, we will immediately terminate their account and, where appropriate, report the incident to university disciplinary administrators or law enforcement authorities.
3. User Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and password. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account. CAX/CaxOne will not be held liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your login information.
4. Code of Conduct & Acceptable Use
To ensure a safe environment for all students, you agree NOT to use the platform to:
- Harass, stalk, abuse, bully, defame, threaten, or discriminate against other students, student groups, or university faculty.
- Publish or distribute any content that is obscene, sexually explicit, hateful, or promotes violence or illegal acts.
- Scraping & Mining: Use automated bots, spiders, crawlers, or scrapers to extract student directories, profiles, feed posts, or other platform data without our express written permission.
- Coordinate or promote unauthorized commercial advertisements, spam, multi-level marketing, or phishing schemes on the feed.
- Impersonate any other student, faculty member, club representative, or CAX administrator.
5. User-Generated Content & Licensing
You retain ownership of the text, photos, events, and other content you post on CAX ("User Content"). However:
- License: By posting User Content on the platform, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to store, host, distribute, copy, modify, and display your content to other verified members of your university community.
- Moderation Rights: We have the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, review, edit, or permanently remove any User Content that, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or harms the community.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
All platform designs, codebases, features, graphics, user interfaces, and the CAX logo are the sole property of CaxOne and Rahul Thatipamula. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of any part of our platform without explicit written authorization.
7. Independent Platform Status (No University Affiliation)
CAX is an independent student networking platform. Unless explicitly stated and documented under a direct school contract, CAX is not officially endorsed, sponsored, authorized, or affiliated with any university administration, college board, or registrar's office. The platform is operated as a peer-to-peer social tool for student life.
8. Disclaimers of Warranties
THE CAX PLATFORM AND ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAXONE AND RAHUL THATIPAMULA DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ACCURATE, OR FREE FROM ERRORS, BOTS, OR VIRUSES.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CAXONE, THE DEVELOPER RAHUL THATIPAMULA, OR ANY SYSTEM ADMINISTRATORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR USE, RESULTING FROM:
- YOUR ACCESS TO, USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM.
- ANY ACTIONS, CONTENT, OR BEHAVIOR OF OTHER USERS OR THIRD PARTIES ON THE PLATFORM (INCLUDING OFF-LINE OR ON-LINE HARASSMENT OR DISAGREEMENTS).
- THE MANAGEMENT, ORGANIZATION, TICKETING, SAFETY, OR CONDUCT OF ANY CAMPUS EVENTS REGISTERED ON THE APP.
- UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR CONTENT OR TRANSMISSIONS.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rahul Thatipamula, CaxOne, and any system moderators from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the platform, or your User Content.
11. Termination
We reserve the right, without notice and in our sole discretion, to suspend or terminate your account and block your access to CAX if we determine that you have violated these Terms, compromised student safety, or presented fraudulent enrollment details.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service and any dispute arising out of or related to your use of CAX shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive personal jurisdiction of the courts located in Hyderabad, India (or the developer's place of residence) for the resolution of any legal dispute.
