Yes. Students never pay — on either plan, forever. Access requires a valid student email so the network stays student-only. CAX is priced to the institution, not to the student.

What is the CAX faculty portal?

A separate web portal at faculty.caxone.in for a college’s own staff. Faculty sign in with an email address and a password to approve events, run the office checklist, book venues, generate OD lists, and produce NAAC and AQAR activity registers. It is the same backend as the student app, with its own login and its own permissions.

How do faculty get an account? Can anyone sign up?

No one self-declares. The CAX team verifies a college out-of-band — a letter on college letterhead, an official domain email, and a phone call — and invites its first Institution Admin by name. That admin then invites every other staff member. Invitations are single-use and expire in 72 hours.

Does turning on approvals change anything for our students?

Only if you switch it on. Every college starts with approvals off, which behaves exactly as the app did before. A college opts in to a chain when it is ready, and can start with a single advisor step.

What does the OD list and NAAC export actually save us?

The on-duty list is generated from the event’s verified participants — name, register number, department, year — printable and as CSV, instead of being rebuilt by hand in Excel from a WhatsApp group. The activity register pulls a whole academic year of events with dates, organisers, participation counts and photo evidence, and tells you which events are still missing evidence.

CAX Pro is a flat price by college size: ₹4,999 a month for up to 2,000 students, ₹9,999 for up to 5,000 and ₹14,999 for up to 10,000, or two months free when paid yearly (₹49,999, ₹99,999 and ₹1,49,999), GST extra. CAX Max is Pro plus work we do specially for your college — your own approval route, your university’s formats, your existing college sign-in, more than one campus, moving your old records across, and training on site — and is quoted per college.
